NODA Summer School
We are pleased to confirm that yet again the NODA Summer School is a roaring success, with the feedback from students including the words 'stimulating' 'exciting' 'exhausting' 'challenging' and 'a great learning experience'. The remodelled school is going from strength to strength with student numbers increasing year on year.
The list of courses and tutors changes each year to reflect the diverse nature of the amateur theatre enthusiasts who belong to NODA. In 2006 we have offered the opportunity of two musical theatre courses - CATS and Titanic the Musical, Directing a Musical, Directing Drama, technical courses including Technical Skills in Live Entertainment and Stage Lighting, as well as Stage Make Up, Acting Skills, Pantomime - and there were more than this list has space!! Do check the website and consider joining us - students are accepted from aged 18 and we cover all aspects of theatre - so come along and learn more of your chosen craft among friends who are equally as enthusiastic as you are!!
Plans for the 2007 school, again to be held at Loughborough University, are already under way. Full details will be available at the beginning of December, both via the NODA News Winter 2006 edition and also via the ever expanding NODA website. Don't forget to have a look at the wide variety of courses which will once again be on offer and, although the courses are already offered at a very reasonable price, don't forget to enquire with your Regional Rep and Area Councillor how to apply for one of the 32 NODA bursaries (up to £200 each!) which are available each year! |
